We Tested for 501 PFAS Compounds

We sent our finished mouth tape — not just the adhesive, but the entire product — to WEIPU laboratory for comprehensive PFAS screening. They tested for 501 individual per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances using LC-MS/MS and GC-MS analysis per EN 17681 European testing standards.

The result: zero PFAS detected.

Not trace amounts. Not "within acceptable limits." Not Detected — across all 501 compounds. N.D. on every line of the report.

We Also Screened for 250 Toxic Substances

While we were at it, we had the same lab screen our tape against the EU REACH candidate list — 250 Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). These are the most dangerous chemicals regulated by the European Chemicals Agency, including heavy metals, carcinogens, reproductive toxins, and endocrine disruptors.

The result: all 250 substances Not Detected. Every SVHC result was below the 0.1% regulatory threshold. Our tape is fully REACH compliant.

Why This Matters

You apply mouth tape to your face for approximately 2,920 hours a year. That is direct skin contact — on one of the most absorbent areas of your body — for extended periods while you sleep. If the tape contains PFAS, heavy metals, or other harmful chemicals, you are absorbing trace amounts of those substances every single night.

Most mouth tape brands have never published PFAS testing or chemical safety data. Some use adhesives and materials sourced from factories with no chemical screening at all. The consumer has no way to know what is in the product.
