Introducing TitanAir™ — The Other Half of Nasal Breathing
Share
We built Titan Mouth Tape to keep your mouth closed at night. But we kept hearing the same question from customers:
"What if I can't breathe through my nose?"
Fair question. Mouth taping only works if your nasal airway is open. If you're congested, if your nostrils collapse when you inhale, if your nasal passages are naturally narrow — taping your mouth shut isn't the answer. You need airflow first. Then you need direction.
That's why we built TitanAir.
What TitanAir Does
TitanAir Nasal Strips are adhesive strips that go across the bridge of your nose. Inside each strip are flexible, spring-loaded bands that gently lift and expand your nostrils from the outside — physically opening the nasal passage to allow more air through.
No drugs. No chemicals. No sprays. Just a mechanical lift that widens your airway.
The concept isn't new. External nasal strips have been around for decades. Athletes wear them during games. People with seasonal congestion use them during allergy season. What's different about TitanAir is that it was designed specifically to work alongside Titan Mouth Tape as part of a complete nasal breathing system for sleep.
The Problem TitanAir Solves
There are roughly three reasons people struggle to nasal breathe at night:
1. Their mouth falls open. Titan Mouth Tape solves this. Tape holds the lips together, tongue stays against the palate, airway stays open, nasal breathing happens naturally.
2. Their nasal passages are restricted. This is where TitanAir comes in. Some people have naturally narrow nostrils. Some have mild nasal valve collapse — where the nostrils partially close during inhalation. Some have seasonal congestion from allergies, dry air, or environmental irritants. In all of these cases, the nose is functional but restricted. Air gets through, but not enough to feel comfortable — especially with the mouth closed.
3. Their nasal passages are blocked. Severe deviated septum, nasal polyps, chronic sinusitis — these are medical conditions that may require evaluation by an ENT specialist. Nasal strips can help with mild obstruction but aren't a substitute for medical treatment of structural or chronic issues.
TitanAir targets the middle group — people whose noses work but could work better. It takes a restricted airway and opens it up, making nasal breathing easier and more comfortable throughout the night.
Why Nasal Airflow Matters During Sleep
Your nose isn't just a hole for air. It's a system.
When air flows through your nasal passages, research suggests several things may happen that don't occur during mouth breathing. Your nasal passages may filter particles, allergens, and pathogens before they reach your lungs. The air is warmed and humidified, which may help protect delicate respiratory tissue. And your paranasal sinuses produce nitric oxide — a molecule that research suggests may play a role in vasodilation and oxygen absorption in the lungs.
When your nasal passages are restricted, airflow decreases. You may unconsciously switch to mouth breathing during sleep to compensate. And once the mouth opens, the cascade begins — tongue drops back, airway may narrow, snoring may start, parasympathetic activation may be suppressed, saliva evaporates, and sleep quality may suffer.
Opening the nasal passages with a nasal strip may help prevent that cascade from starting in the first place.
TitanAir + Titan Mouth Tape: The Complete System
This is how the two products are designed to work together:
TitanAir opens the nose. The spring-loaded bands lift and widen the nostrils, reducing nasal resistance and making it easier for air to flow through.
Titan Mouth Tape closes the mouth. The bamboo silk strip holds the lips together, keeping the tongue against the palate and directing all airflow through the nose.
One without the other is half the system. TitanAir without mouth tape means your nose is open but your mouth might still fall open during sleep — and you'll default to mouth breathing anyway. Mouth tape without adequate nasal airflow means your mouth is closed but you're struggling to get enough air through a restricted nose — which is uncomfortable and unsustainable.
Together, they address both sides of the equation: open the airway, then direct the airflow.
For people who've tried mouth taping and found it uncomfortable because they felt like they couldn't get enough air — TitanAir may be the missing piece. It's not that mouth taping didn't work for you. It's that your nose needed help first.
Who TitanAir Is For
If you mouth tape and want better airflow: Some mouth tape users breathe fine through their nose but feel like they could breathe better. TitanAir may help by reducing nasal resistance, making each breath feel fuller and more effortless.
If you tried mouth taping and felt restricted: You taped your mouth, and within an hour you ripped it off because you couldn't get enough air. Before giving up on mouth taping entirely, try adding a nasal strip. The restriction you felt may not have been a mouth tape problem — it may have been a nasal airflow problem.
If you have seasonal congestion: Allergies, dry winter air, or environmental irritants can narrow your nasal passages for weeks at a time. TitanAir may help maintain nasal airflow during these periods without medication.
If your partner says you snore: Snoring often involves both an open mouth and restricted nasal airflow. The combination of TitanAir and Titan Mouth Tape addresses both contributing factors simultaneously.
If you're an athlete focused on recovery: Nasal breathing during sleep is associated with parasympathetic activation, which research suggests may support recovery. Maximizing nasal airflow with TitanAir while keeping the mouth closed with Titan Mouth Tape may help optimize the breathing conditions during your recovery window.
The Details
Material: Flexible spring-loaded bands inside a soft, hypoallergenic adhesive strip. The bands provide a gentle mechanical lift — strong enough to hold the nostrils open all night, comfortable enough to forget you're wearing it.
Adhesive: Hypoallergenic. Designed for the skin on the nose, which is different from the skin around the mouth — oilier, with more pores. The adhesive holds through the night without slipping and removes cleanly in the morning without residue or irritation.
Sizing: One universal size designed to fit most adult noses. The flexible bands conform to different nose widths and bridge heights.
Supply: Available in 30-day, 90-day, 180-day, and 360-day supplies. Volume pricing rewards commitment — the same structure as Titan Mouth Tape.
How to Use TitanAir
Step 1: Clean and dry the skin on your nose. Oil, moisturizer, or sweat will weaken the adhesive bond.
Step 2: Bend the strip slightly to peel off the backing. The flex activates the spring-loaded bands.
Step 3: Place the strip across the bridge of your nose, centered between the eyes and the tip. Press gently along both sides to secure.
Step 4: If you're pairing with Titan Mouth Tape, apply the nasal strip first, then the mouth tape. Nose open, then mouth closed.
Step 5: In the morning, peel slowly from each end. Don't yank — a slow peel releases the adhesive cleanly without irritating the skin.
What TitanAir Is Not
TitanAir is not a treatment for obstructive sleep apnea, chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, or any medical condition. If you have a diagnosed breathing disorder or suspect you have one, consult a doctor before using nasal strips or mouth tape.
TitanAir is not a decongestant. It doesn't contain medication. It physically opens the nostril — it doesn't treat the underlying cause of congestion. If you have severe congestion from illness or chronic allergies, address the congestion first with appropriate medical guidance.
TitanAir is a wellness product designed to complement healthy nasal breathing during sleep. Individual results may vary.
